The problem: retyping every deadline by hand

Kristen is a marketing student who already used xTiles to organize both school and personal life, but hadn't yet connected an AI tool to it. Her assignment deadlines lived in her school's learning management system, and getting them into her planner meant retyping each one by hand, one at a time.

It doesn't need to be a native integration

Rather than waiting for a direct, purpose-built integration between a specific LMS and xTiles, connecting Claude to xTiles turns Claude into the go-between. Share the list of deadlines from wherever it currently lives — a learning platform, a syllabus, a spreadsheet, even a pasted paragraph — and ask Claude to create a matching task in xTiles for each one, due date included. The method doesn't depend on the exact source.

Step 1: Connect Claude, once

Go to Account Settings → xTiles MCP, add Claude as a connector, and authorize it. It's a one-time setup step, and the same connection point works for any AI-tool integration.

Step 2: Turn the list into tasks with due dates

Hand Claude the deadline list and ask it to create a task in xTiles for each item, with the matching due date attached. Claude handles the batch creation instead of you typing each one in individually — a list of ten or twenty deadlines takes about as long as one.

Why this saves the manual step going forward

Any task created anywhere in xTiles — any project, any space — automatically appears in Planner's weekly view as long as it has a due date attached. That's what makes the bulk-created tasks immediately useful rather than sitting disconnected somewhere: they land in the same weekly view already being checked regularly, without needing to be manually placed there.

Adjusting as things change

Once deadlines exist as tasks, moving one to a different day is a drag-and-drop inside the weekly view — the due date updates automatically. Useful for the schedule shuffling that comes with any set of coursework deadlines.
